<What is the Skills Assessment?> The Skills Assessment is a national certification system that evaluates the level of skills acquired or required for work. It aims to enhance the general societal evaluation of skills and improve the skills and status of working individuals, and is implemented based on the Act on the Promotion of Vocational Ability Development. There are a total of 130 types of examinations (as of November 2021), including machine maintenance, machining, construction carpentry, and financial planning. <What is the Machine Maintenance Skills Assessment?> Machine maintenance is an essential skill for preventing failures and deterioration of factory equipment and maintaining normal operations; it is an indispensable ability in the manufacturing field. The only national certification that evaluates this skill is the "Machine Maintenance Skills Assessment." It has the second highest number of examinees among all skill assessment categories, and it has the highest number of examinees among professions in the manufacturing sector.
